Pumpkin Bread French Toast

1 C Raisins
1/2 C Water
1 C Pumpkin (15 oz)
2 C Sugar
4 Eggs
1/2 C Baking Soda
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Ground Clove
1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
3 C Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder

Soak raisins overnight in water.  Combine pumpkin, sugar, eggs, baking soda, salt and spices.  Beat for 3 minutes.  With wooden spoon or paddle on mixer, slowly add oil.  Add flour and baking powder.  Mix until just incorporated.  Fold in raisins and water.  Grease and flour loaf pans.  Bake in 325 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

French Toast Batter

4 Eggs
1/4 C Heavy Cream
1/2 Tsp Orange Zest
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon

Whip together all ingredients.  Dip slices of pumpkin bread into batter and cook on medium heat pan or griddle until brown.  Enjoy!
