You don’t need to fly all the way to Germany to experience Oktoberfest. Instead, put on your best lederhosen and head over to Town Green Park, just minutes from the Resort, for The Woodlands Rotary Club’s 2nd Annual Oktoberfest … complete with an opening keg tapping ceremony!

Held rain or shine from Sept. 24 - 26, Town Green Park will celebrate German heritage with three days of fun featuring folk dancers, arts and craft vendors, musical entertainment on two stages and kid-friendly activities. What would a German festival be without authentic German food? Bratwurst, strudel, sauerkraut and two-fisted pretzels … and of course, plenty of beer to wash it all down.

Polka anyone? Dance to the lively sounds of Terry Cavanagh and the Alpine Express. As the band’s website warns … theirs is High-Voltage Polka! Traveling in from his hometown of Halletsville, Texas is Chris Rybak, the Accordion Cowboy, known for his fusion of polka with Cajun, country and Tex-Mex. Not to be missed is Enzian Buam, an Austrian Bavarian duo featuring folk music and jodeling. Plus, many more.

Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go directly to the Rotary for student scholarships.
